Notes: This sculpture was installed Friday, April 29, 2016, with the aid of three of the artist's students: Dallas Guffey, Jacob McGinn, and Tim Jorgenson. Designer and Public Art Incubator Daniel Perry is a professor in the UNI Art Department and has stated that the statue depicts a spiral staircase made of out books, which culminate at the flame of knowledge and achievement.
