Robert L. Paulson, of 136 Summit Drive, Cedar Falls, died Monday, July 20, 1992, at Sartori Memorial Hospital of natural causes. He was born September 6, 1919, in Boone, son of Seilus A . and Florence Edna Merkel Paulson. He married Eleanor Sue Myers on June 30, 1946, in Colo. She died September 29, 1982. He married Donna M. Happel Boots on April 1, 1984, in Waterloo. Mr. Paulson was a professor at the College of Education Department of Teaching, University of Northern Iowa, from 1953 until retirement in 1984. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Iowa. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was past president of Retired Officers of America. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cindy Klodt of Cedar Falls, Peggy Hippen of Columbia, South Carolina, and Robin Sue Egigian of Glendale, Arizona; two stepdaughters, Lisa Ann Bartholomew of Waterloo and Susan Rae Gillen of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; and four sisters, Virginia Briant, Mary Elizabeth Vance, and Margaret Siler, all of Pensacola, Florida, and Jean Littell of Boone. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by Guy W. Iverson Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and for an hour before service Friday at the church.
