Mildred Dorothy Thode, 87, of the Western Home, died Monday, November 29, 1999, at the home of natural causes.
She was born January 18, 1912, in Racine, Wisconsin, daughter of Andrew J. and Anna Helena Nelson Jensen. She married Einer V. Thode. He died November 29, 1949.
Mrs. Thode worked in housekeeping at the University of Northern Iowa for many years before her retirement.
Survived by: a stepdaughter, Marilyn Schafer of Washburn; a brother, Merrill Jensen of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Ardyce Hansen of Cedar Falls.
Preceded in death by: a son, Don; a stepson, Frederick; and a brother, Wilbur "Bill" Jensen.
Services: were 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
