M. Jeanne Collinge

M. Jeanne Collinge, 78, of State College, Pennsylvania, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Friday, October 12, 2001, at Centre Community Hospital, State College, of natural causes. She was born January 25, 1923, in Toledo, daughter of Myrrel E and Edith M. Weaklen Muetzel.  She married Colburn V. Collinge on June 29, 1946, in Cedar Rapids.  He died February 3, 1980. Mrs. Collinge was employed at the University of Northern Iowa as an administrative assistant for the Department of International Studies.  She received a two-year degree from Mount Mercy College and furthered her education at Iowa State Teachers College (UNI). Survived by:  wo sons, William B. of Kittery, Maine, and John S. of Lowell, Massachusetts; two daughters, Karen Carroll of Astoria, Oregon, and Cathy Herrera of State College, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Beverly Nereng of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Mary DeVries of Minneapolis, and Jackie Wims of Valencia, California. Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Nazareth Lutheran Church.  There will be no visitation.  Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
