Memorial service will be held for UNI art Professor Kenneth Gogel Memorial service will be held for UNI art Professor Kenneth Gogel Friends and colleagues of Kenneth Grant Gogel, professor emeritus, will hold a memorial service Sunday al 2 p.m. in the Georgian Lounge, Commons. Gogel died on June 27, 1991. Born May 27, 1920, in Toledo, Ohio, son of Adelbert and Leona Grant Gogel, he was a professor of art education in the Department of Art at UNI from 1950 until 1990, when he retired. Gogel received his education at Ohio State University, Penn State University, and George Washington University. He was well-known among art educators and former students throughout the state of Iowa. A program of remembrance and tributes is being planned; friends and colleagues are invited to present brief, informal speeches so that they may share memories of their acquaintance with Gogel.
