Fox, 71, executive housekeeper at the University of Northern Iowa until she retired on January 4, 1980, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 1985. Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 21, 1985, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein with burial in the Murphy Cemetery located about two miles west of Westgate, Iowa. No visitation will be held and the casket will be closed. The memorial fund will be to Upper Iowa University in Fayette. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Brant-Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home in Oelwein. Goldie began working for UNI in 1969. She married Richard D. Fox at Lordsburg, New Mexico, on November 15, 1943. The family has lived in Oelwein for the past thirty-five years. She was affiliated with the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. Goldie was a life member of the Northeast Iowa Executive Housekeepers Association. Goldie is survived by her husband, Richard; two children, David L. Fox, Centralia, Illinois and Patricia L. McCollom, Ankeny, Iowa; and an adopted daughter, Johanna Fox, Tucson, Arizona. Also surviving Mrs. Fox are her mother, Frances Warschoff, Jacksonville, Florida; and a brother, Kenneth Warschoff, Jacksonville, Florida. Goldie had seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
