Glenn W. Mounce, 80, died of cancer at his home in Cedar Falls on Sunday, April 17, 1988. Glenn began working at UNI in 1938 and was Chief Engineer in the Power Plant at the time of his retirement in 1970.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on April 20 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls with burial in the Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, Iowa.
Glenn is survived by his son, Robert G., of Cedar Falls; a sister, Thea McClintock of Cedar Rapids; and two grandchildren.
He was born on November 30, 1907, near Center Point, son of Willie and Maude Wheeling Mounce. He married Essie I. Ondler on June 27, 1928, in Cedar Rapids. She died in May 1963.
