Ellen Bjorklund Ellen Olive Bjorklund, 99, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, December 11, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. She was born May 12, 1907, daughter of Victor and Hulda Johnson Larson. She married Rudolph C. Bjorklund on September 23, 1925, in Harcourt. He died in 1988. Mrs. Bjorklund was employed by the University of Northern Iowa for thirty-six years, retiring in 1972. Survivors include: two daughters, Loretta (Bruce) Youngberg of Cedar Falls and Lorraine (Donald) Dory of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a son, Lorimer (Marilyn) of St Cloud, Minnesota; ten grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren: Preceded in death by: an infant son, Vernon; three brothers, Chester, Richard, and Martin Larson; and seven sisters, Minnie Samuelson, Daisy Lindstrom, Gertrude Peterson, Ethel Murphy, Delia Peterson, and Rena Giddings. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m today at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to the church or Battered Women's Shelter.
