To: All Staff Members From: D. R. Walton Date: March 28, 1973 Mr. Clarence Weir, a former University employee, died at the age eighty-four on Tuesday morning, March 27, 1973, at Sartori Hospital. Mr. Weir was employed as a security officer by the University in 1935 and continued in that capacity until his retirement in 1960. The Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Services will take place at 9 A.M. Thursday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with burial at Fairview cemetery, Bedford, Iowa. The flag will be flown at half-mast during the time of the funeral services in memory of Mr. Weir.
