                   Betty Eland Betty J. Eland, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center. She was born November 30, 1925, in New Providence, daughter of Arthur and Frances Lepley Bogue.  She married Ivan L. Eland June 12, 1955, in State Center. She graduated from State Center High School in 1943.  She attended Chillicothe Business College, Coe College, and graduated with a bachelor's degree from University of Iowa in 1948.  She was a teacher in the Missouri Valley and Cedar Rapids schools, and an administrative assistant at the Federal Land Bank and the University of Northern Iowa's office of Academic Advising, both in Cedar Falls.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls. Survived by:  her husband; a son, Ivan R. of Washington, D. C.; a sister, Virginia Van Metre of Marshalltown; and a brother, Richard Bogue of Ida Grove. Preceded in death by:  a sister, Barbara Bogue Townsend; and a brother, Warren Gene Bogue. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Public visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
