August 3, 1994 To: Deans, Directors, Department Heads, and Physical Plant Staff From: Duane Anders, Director, Physical Plant RE: OBITUARY NOTICE Bernard Hansen, 77, of Alamo, Texas, died of cancer on Wednesday, July 27, 1994, at McAllen Nursing Center, Alamo. Bernard began his career at UNI in 1953. He was the Paint Service Manager in Plant Services and retired in 1979. He was born on February 20, 1917, in Stout, son of Hans and Trena Hansen. He married Irene Enfield on June 6, 1937. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sandra Spooner of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on August 8 at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens in Cedar Falls. A gathering at the Eagles Club, 2125 West Lone Tree Road, Cedar Falls, will follow committal services. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or United Cerebral Palsy.
