 Barbara Simonis Barbara A. Simonis, 51, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of cancer. She was born July 26, 1952, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, daughter of James and Marcia Berg Novacek. She married William Simonis on June 28, 1975, in Eau Claire. Mrs. Simonis received a bachelor's degree in education, business education, and accounting from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. She was a teacher at Madison West High School; Madison, Wisconsin; had been a teacher's aide in the Waverly-Shell Rock Community School District; taught business in the Dumont School District; then was later employed by the University of Northern Iowa in the Center for Social and Behavioral Research. She was currently a production assistant for Farm Bureau Insurance, Waterloo office. Survivors include: her husband; two sons, Christopher and Sean, both of Cedar Falls; her mother of Eau Claire; and a brother, Steven (Jane) Novacek of Eau Claire. Preceded in death by: her father.
