               Barbara Luhring Barbara Luhring, 66, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, October 28, 2007, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo. She was born August 28, 1941, in Newton, daughter of Terry B. and Helga Falkenberg Olin. She married Vernon R. Luhring on April 3, 1964, in Cedar Falls. Mrs. Luhring graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1959 and from Iowa State Teachers College (UNI) in 1964. She was an early childhood education development specialist and taught at Price Lab School in Cedar Falls and the Waterloo school system, retiring in 2001. Survivors include: her husband; two daughters; Jennifer (John) Jacobsen of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jayne (Aaron) Spears of Evergreen, Colorado; four grandchildren, Olivia and Noelle Jacobson and Zach and Tate Spears; her father of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Jan McMullen of Kansas City, Missouri. Preceded in death by: a son, Allan David; her mother; and a brother-in-law, Richard McMullen. Memorial services: 10:30 am. Wednesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery. Public visitation from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with personal sharing and memories from 6 to 7 p.m. Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice and Nazareth Lutheran Church.
