Warren A. Schuler, 78, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at the home, of natural causes. He was born April 7, 1925, in Hansell, son of George and Mona A. Meyer Schuler. He married Luella G. Smith, August 24, 1947, in Nashua. Mr. Schuler was employed at the University of Northern Iowa in electrical maintenance for thirty-seven years, retiring in 1989. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Survived by: his wife; a son, Douglas (Joyce) of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Sharon (Bill) McCracken of Westminster, Colorado; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, George E. of Dows and Earl E. of Bondurant; and a sister, Ardeth Plendl of Dows. Preceded in death by: an infant brother and sister. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to the church or the Alzheimer's Association.
