Russell E. Euchner, 78, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, September 9, 2007, at Sartori Memorial Hospital of natural causes. He was born September 13, 1928, in Waterloo, son of George P. and Bessie Murphy Euchner.  He married Beverly Ann Moser on June 8, 1952, in Cedar Falls. Mr. Euchner graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1947; from Iowa State Teachers College (University of Northern Iowa) with a bachelor's degree in English and teaching in 1952; and earned a master's degree in education from ISTC in 1959.  From 1953 to 1960 he taught in public schools in Dows, in Jubilee in Black Hawk County, and at Castle Hill Elementary School in Waterloo.  In 1960, he joined the faculty at UNI, serving in the Departments of Education and Curriculum and Instruction, retiring in 1991. Survivors include:  his wife, of the Lutheran Home; three sons, Thomas A. of Marion, Jonathan P. (Susan Turnbull) of Indianola, and Joseph C. of Davenport; two daughters, Lisa M. of West Des Moines and Sarah E (Greg) Serbousek of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren; and two brothers, James H. of Cedar Falls and Charles R. of Casa Grande, Arizona. Preceded in death by:  two brothers, Robert and Richard; and a sister, Mary Jean. Memorial services:  will be later.
