Krogh, 62, of Cedar Falls, died of a coronary on Tuesday, November 24, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. James began his career at UNI in September 1980 and worked as a Driver Mechanic in Plant Services until going on the long-term disability program in April 1987. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was currently president of the Iowa Flying Farmers Association. James was born on November 11, 1930, in Waterloo, son of James P. and Lucille A. Worrell Krogh. He married Betty Hansen on August 22, 1952, in Waterloo. Betty is currently employed at UNI as a Storekeeper II in the School of Health, Physical Education, and Leisure Services. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kevin D. of Chicago, Illinois; three daughters, Karen L. Kinser of St. Peters, Missouri, Kimberly A. Krogh of Los Angeles, California, and Kathy M. Petersdorf of Rolling Meadows, Illinois; and a brother, Rodney of Cedar Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, Ralph E. Runyan.
