TO: All Staff Members FROM: Personnel Services Office DATE: October 2, 1978 Mr. Jake Jaspers passed away Thursday, September 28, 1978, at his home of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Jaspers had worked for UNI since 1963 as a Custodian. Before coming to UNI he had worked at John Deere Tractor Works and helped his mother farm. He retired from UNI in April of this year. Jake is survived by his wife, Harriett, and a daughter, Jill. Services were held Saturday, September 30, at the Wellsburg Reformed Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
