To: University Faculty and Staff From: Staff Personnel Office Date: April 26, 1976 Harold Owens passed away Saturday, April 24, 1976, following an illness of several months Mr. Owens was employed by the University of Northern Iowa as Assistant Foreman in the Carpenter Shop in June 1947. Prior to his employment as a carpenter with the University, Mr. Owen worked in construction and was employed as a carpenter. He has been on disability program benefits since October 21, 1975. Mr. Owens is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Kenneth, Northglenn, Colorado; and a daughter, Mrs. James (Phyliss) Coman, Littleton, Colorado. Services for Mr. Owens will be held at 10:30 Tuesday, April 27, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Dahl-VanHove-Schoof Funeral Home will be in charge of the services with burial in St. Patrick's section of Greenwood Cemetery. The flag will be flown at half-mast during the time of the funeral services.
