Emma C. Jensen, 86, of Cedar, Falls, died Saturday, February 22, 2003, at her daughter's home near Toddville, of cancer.
She was born October 28, 1916, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Nick and Elsie Petersen Dockwell. She married Erhardt I. Jensen on November 21, 1936, in Galena, Illinois. He died May 21, 1977.
Mrs. Jensen was a clerk-typist for thirty years in the Placement Office at the University of Northern Iowa, retiring in 1981.
Survivors include: two daughters, Judy Eriksen of Ankeny and Katy (Ron) Strand of Toddville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty (Orlyn) Bergmann of Clinton.
Preceded in death by: a sister, Anna Boehmke; and four stepsisters, Vendla Webrand, Helen Uschkrat, Laura Bode, and Ethel Nelson.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with private family burial in. Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
Memorials: may be directed to the church or Hospice of Mercy in Cedar Rapids.
