    Elizabeth Martin Elizabeth Ann Martin, 82, of Cedar Falls, died March 9, 2014, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center. She was born June 30, 1931, in Waverly, daughter of William Adrian and Elda Propp Martin. Elizabeth graduated from Waverly High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Wartburg College, Waverly.  She taught English in Oelwein, before earning her master's degree from the University of Minnesota.  She was employed with the University of Northern Iowa, retiring as head of the Library Science Department. Survived by:  ten nieces and nephews, Nancy Kendall, Diane Muzzy, Jean Noble, Patti Caputo, Jack Brierly, Linda Rutherford, Laura DiPietro, Sharon Riley, David Brierly, and Julie Terry; and twenty-two great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by:  two sisters, Margaret Clark and Ruth Brierly; and a brother, Jim Martin. Visitation:  11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, followed by burial in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly. Memorials:  may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association. Condolences may be expressed at www.richardsonfuneralservice.com Elizabeth loved to travel and enjoyed many countries of the world.  She was an avid sports fan, enjoying UNI, Iowa, and Iowa State sports and had a soft spot for the Chicago Cubs.
