Sabin, Henry

Henry Sabin, as the State Superintendent of Schools, was President of the Iowa State Normal School (UNI) Board of Directors from 1888 to 1892 and 1894 to 1898. Previously, he was Superintendent of Schools in Clinton, Iowa. In 1895 he was named chairman of the National Education Association Committee on Rural Schools. He was also among the three candidates for the first presidency of the Normal School.
