June 14, 1955 To Members of the Faculty: News has come from Evansville, Indiana, of the death of Mr. William E. Hays on June 13, 1955. Mr. Hays began his service at the college in 1921 and served until 1948 after which he did part-time teaching until 1951. During all these many years he taught voice and directed the activities of glee clubs and the college choir. According to the information which we have, funeral services for Mr. Hays will be at Evansville. The flag is being carried at half mast today as an expression of respect and admiration for the loyal and devoted services rendered by Mr. Hays. Sincerely yours, break J. W. Maucker, President.
