Wayne L. Morris passed away in the early afternoon of February 17 following an illness of several months. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, at the Catholic Student Center, 23rd and College.
Mr. Morris devoted his entire professional life to university students. He served as freshman academic advisor at Miami University of Ohio (1959-62), assistant head counselor of an undergraduate residence center at Indiana University (1962-66), and as head counselor of a graduate residence center at Indiana University (1966-68) before coming to the University of Northern Iowa in August 1970. Mr. Morris served this University with distinction as Assistant Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Students, and as Assistant to the Vice President for Student Services. He enjoyed the love, respect, and trust of students and the confidence of his colleagues.
Wayne Morris is survived by his wife, Elisabet Hadell Morris, who is employed in the Office of Public Information Services.
