Verna Vinding Verna E. Vinding, 97, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Western Home Communities Martin Center. She was born September 18, 1912, in Alden, Minnesota, daughter of the Reverend J. D. and Christina Nelson Vinding. She attended high school and college in Cedar Falls. She taught kindergarten in Akron and later was employed as a secretary at the University of Northern Iowa for twelve years, retiring in 1979. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Western Home Communities Chapel, with burial at 1 p.m. Saturday in Benson Cemetery, Benson, Minnesota. Public visitation for an hour before services Friday at the chapel. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
