Velma Snapp Velms Snapp, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Center. She was born May 15, 1915, in Eldora, daughter of Theodore and Lula Moon Schaa. She married William Snapp on June 17, 1937, in Marshalltown. He died September 19, 1969. Mrs. Snapp was employed for many years with Moore's Produce in Cedar Falls, In 1969 she went to work for the University of Northern Iowa as a line supervisor, until retiring in 1985. Survived by: two daughters, Jo Summers of Seal Beach, California, and Cathy (Denny) Sivertsen of Cedar Falls; and five grandchildren, Jackie Wood, Barbara Plubio, Brent Sivertsen, Jamion Sivertsen, and Damon Sivertsen. Preceded in death by: two brothers and three sisters. Services: 11AM Thursday at Western Home Communities Chapel, with burial in Sheller Cemetery, Ivester. There will be no visitation.
