Ruth M. Petersen, 80, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, formerly of 1021 State Street, Cedar Falls, died at the home Thursday, January 31, 2002, of natural causes.
She was born July 3, 1921, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Walter and Kamilla Petersen Petersen.
Prior to her retirement she had managed the printing shop at the University of Northern Iowa, and also served as past chair of the altar guild at Nazareth Lutheran Church.
Survived by: a brother, Emmanuel J. Petersen of Carmichael, California.
Preceded in death by: a brother, Robert W. Petersen; and twin sisters in infancy, Dorothy and Eleanor Petersen.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Lutheran Home Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Home's temporary location, 204 W. Seerley Boulevard, and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the chapel.
