Ruth Scoggin Ruth K. Scoggin, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, January 25, 2007, at Sartori Memorial Hospital. She was born October 20, 1917, in Parkersburg daughter of Rient and Harmeka Kruse Peters. She married Clarence Scoggin February 9, 1952, in Nashua. He preceded her in death May 17, 1979. She worked in food service at the University of Northern Iowa for forty years, retiring in 1982. Survived by: a sister, Amanda Sorensen of Cedar Falls; and a local nephew, Dave (Cindy) Peters of Cedar Falls. Preceded in death by: her parents; five brothers, Fred, Claus, Raymond, Vernon, and Robert Peters; three sisters, Cora Harken, Annie Block, and Margelet Peters; and a sister-in-law, Esther Peters of Cedar Falls. Services: 11 am. Saturday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
