Robert Wilson

Robert "Bob" Wilson, 87, of New Hartford, died Sunday, September 4, 2005, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls. He was born November 25, 1917, on a farm in Grundy County, son of John C. and Erie Collins Wilson.  He married Audrey Elliott, on July 11, 1942, at Bethany, Missouri. Mr. Wilson served in the U. S. Navy during World War II in the European Theatre.  His employment includes farming, working at the New Hartford Elevator, and then in security at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, for eighteen years. Survivors include:  his wife; a son, Brent (Jane) Wilson of Grundy Center; a daughter, Judy (Terry) Thompson of New Hartford; two grandchildren, Elizabeth (Chris) Carter and Jerod (Angela) Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Wilson, Colton Carter, and Westin Carter; a sister, Ruth (Robert) Paine of Eagle Creek, Oregon; and a sister-in-law, Adeline Bailey of Vancouver, Washington. Preceded in death by:  his parents; and a brother, John. Services:  10 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church with private family burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, both in New Hartford.  Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls.  The casket will be closed.
