          Robert Goss Robert C. “Bob” Goss, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Care Center.  He was born March 31, 1929, in Huntington, Indiana, the son of Hubert and Helen (Reagan) Goss.  Bob married Carolyn R. “Lyn” Hipskind on March 28, 1951, in Huntington.  She preceded him in death on June 12, 2014.  Bob graduated from Huntington Catholic High School, Huntington College, and earned his Ph. D. from Purdue University.  He was a Professor of Microbiology at Loyola University of the South in New Orleans and the University of Northern Iowa for thirty years, retiring in 1991. Bob is survived by his son, Larry Goss, of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Kathy Hansen of Bedford, Texas, and Nancy Buck of Waterloo; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife; a son, David Goss; a grandson, Roger Goss, and a sister, Ann Delvin. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls, with burial at Mt.
