May 29,1986 TO: Deans, Directors, and Department Heads FROM: John D. Mixsell, Personnel Services Michael J. Hall, 34, was killed in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday, May 28, 1986. Michael was employed as an electrician, then an environmental systems mechanic in Plant Services at the University since January 14, 1980. Michael was born on March 4, 1952, the son of Richard and Esther Ackerman Hall of Dunkerton. He married Anna Andrews on May 18, 1974, and they were later divorced. Michael served in the U. S. Navy during the Viet Nam conflict. Michael is survived by his parents; a daughter, Amy Jo of Phoenix, Arizona; a son, Joshua of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother, Patrick of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; a brother, Max of Brooklyn, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Sharon Hahn of Oronoco, Minnesota; and a sister, Mrs. Barbara Ward, Hudson, Iowa. Funeral services are set for 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, 1986, at the First Baptist Church in Dunkerton, with burial in the Fairview Cemetery in Dunkerton. Friends may call Thursday, May 29, between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Oppold Funeral Home in Waterloo, Iowa.
