Price, wife of Dr. Malcolm Price, who was president of the University of Northern Iowa from 1940 until 1950 and then Professor of Education until his retirement in 1963, passed away on September 21, 1970, at Sartori Hospital following a lengthy illness.  She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1895. Mrs. Price graduated from Cornell College in 1919, took graduate work at the University of Iowa, and taught in the public schools of Vinton, Omaha, and Sioux Falls.  She was very active in college and community affairs during the period of her husband's presidency at U.N.I. The Prices lived in Port Charlotte, Florida, from 1963 until the early part of this year, when they returned to Cedar Falls to make their home. Mrs. Price is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Nancy) Thompson, 2309 Iowa Street; a son, John Price, Pasadena, California; and four grandchildren. The Dahl-Van Hove Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, at the First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls, with burial in Fairview Cemetery.  The flag will be flown at half-mast, and the Campanile bells will be played during the time of the funeral service in memory of Mrs. Price.  Memorials may be made through the University of Northern Iowa Foundation.
