     Marvel Rittgers Marvel Marie Rittgers, 75, of Waverly, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo. She was born August 26, 1935, in Waterloo, daughter of Charles and Myrtle Fairbanks Coffin.  She married Eugene Rittgers on June 29, 1953, in Owatonna, Minnesota. Mrs. Rittgers worked in food service for twenty-five years at Northern University High School and subsequently at the University of Northern Iowa. Survived by:  her husband; two sons, Darwin (Carolyn) of Waverly and the Reverend Del (Chris) Rittgers of Des Moines; a daughter, Delaine (Robert) Schillie of Waverly; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Howard (Diane) Coffin of Waterloo. Preceded in death by:  three brothers, Arthur, Eugene "Richie", and Darrel Coffin; and a sister, Delores Buckman. Services:  10:30 a.m. Saturday at Living Water Church of the Nazarene, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.  Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
