     Marian Seehusen Marian Golda Abbas Seehusen, 82, of Parkersburg, died Friday, August 11, 2006, at the Presbyterian Village, Ackley, of natural causes. She was born March 15, 1924, in Ackley, daughter of William E. and Martha Marie Stoehr Pohlman. On October 1, 1940, she married Arend J. Abbas at her parents' home in rural Ackley. He died August 30, 1975. She married George J. Seehusen on July 5, 1980, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He died January 19, 2004. Mrs. Seehusen received her GED from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo in 1976. She worked at Finger Hut and Jennie-O while living in Minnesota. After moving to Parkersburg she went to work for the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, in 1969, as a seamstress, where she made drapery for the dorm rooms. She also was a housekeeper at UNI, retiring in 1986. Survived by: two daughters, Sharon (Roger) Seehusen of Parkersburg and Vickie (George) Streich of Delano, Minnesota; a son, Ronald (Marlene) Abbas of Maurice; four stepdaughters, Darlene (Darwin) Nicklaus and Cathy (Daryl) Myers, both of Parkersburg, Arvilla (Gary) Irwin of Janesville, and Marlys (David) Fisher of Hubbard; a stepson, Roger (Sharon) Seehusen of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; twelve stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene (Wallace) Kreimeyer of Dougherty. Preceded in death by: a step-great-grandson; and an infant brother, Edward Pohlman. Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Christian Reformed Church, Parkersburg, with burial in Christian Reformed Cemetery, rural Ackley. Public visitation from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and for an hour before services Monday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
