Lola began her career at UNI in 1953 as a Telephone Operator. She was Chief Telephone Operator when she retired in 1992. She was born August 30, 1930, in Cedar Falls, daughter of A. Jay and Elesa C. Schatz Holmes. Survivors include a sister, June Bentz of Clinton. Memorial services were held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.
