Obituary for Linda S. Gleissner Linda S. Gleissner (1948-2014) CEDAR FALLS- Linda S. Gleissner, 65, of Cedar Falls died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Rosewood Estates in Waterloo. She was born July 18, 1948 in Rochester, New York, daughter of Dwight and Freda Huston Lawrence. She earned her BA degree from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and MA in Early Childhood Development from the University of Northern Iowa. She was a special education teacher; worked with EPI; was an instructor at UNI; and later was employed with AEA 267 as a Discipline Facilitator, training teachers in special education.  Survived by: two sons, Daniel (Mandy) Gleissner Jr of Reinbeck and Scott (Stephanie) Gleissner of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Dakota and Daniel III Gleissner, Noah and Benjamin Gleissner; two sisters, Jane Lawrence of Chicago, IL and Mollie (Erica Peitler) Lawrence of Morristown, NJ; many cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her parents. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church with inurnment at a later date in Pennsylvania. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.  Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
