LaRue Pedersen
LaRue M. Pedersen, 92, of Waterloo, died Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Falls.
She was born January 17, 1918, in Waterloo, daughter of Parker and Nora Yeries Kelley. She married Harold K. Pedersen on April 11, 1941, in Fredsville, and they later divorced.
Ms. Pedersen worked for the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, as a building service custodian, retiring in 1981.
Survived by: a son, Raymond (Trish) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Judy (Dan) Klemp of Granbury, Texas; five grandchildren, Bryan (Becky) Danielsen of Richardson, Texas, Lisa (Jeff) Arnold of Shawnee, Kansas, Elizabeth (Nate) Gibson of Redondo Beach, California, Robert Pedersen of Cedar Falls, and Bonnie (J. P.) Joubert of Durham, North Carolina; four great-grandchildren, Max and Carly Danielsen, Elana Joubert, and Mykah Gibson; and a sister, Susie Leaman of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: her parents; and a sister, Harriett Byrnes.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo, with burial in Hazleton Cemetery, Hazleton, following the luncheon. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials: may be directed to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
