Allen, Benefits Coordinator SUBJECT: Obituary Notice DATE: December 2, 1996 John Loger, 85, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Parkersburg, died Saturday, November 23, at home of natural causes. John began his career at UNI in 1966 as a Custodian. He retired from UNI in 1979 and was a Maintenance Repairman at the time. He was born March 22, 1911, in Parkersburg, son of Fred and Hilka Loger. He married Doris Wray on May 29, 1976, in Waterloo. Survivors include his wife; a son, James of Dike; three stepdaughters, Ruth Oelmann of Aplington, Sherrie Willoughby of Houston, and Carolyn Cross of Oregon, Wisconsin, a stepson, John Straube of Dallas; and 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hennrietta Loger of Parkersburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hilko; and two sisters, Tilly and Ida Loger. Memorial services were held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Hillside Cemetery.
