Juhl, 71, of Cedar Falls, died from cancer on Wednesday, November 4, at Sartori Memorial Hospital. Irene began her career at UNI in February 1959 and worked as a Custodian I in the Department of Residence. She retired from UNI in April 1983. Irene was born on February 23, 1921, in Aplington, daughter of Jacob and Anna Molendorph Rindels. She married Irving Juhl on October 14, 1938, in Waverly. Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry of Cedar Falls; her mother of Allison; three grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Danner of Cedar Falls and Vivian Hawley of Grundy Center; and five brothers, LaVern Rindels and Calvin Rindels, both of Waterloo, Duane Rindels and Harold Rindels, both of Cedar Falls, and Eugene Rindels of Shell Rock. She was preceded in death by an infant sister. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
