Henry J. "Hank" Doden, 85, of Elkader, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, November 29, 2000, at Central Community Hospital, Elkader, from injuries suffered in an accidental fire at his home. He was born July 17, 1915, in Aurich, Germany, son of Henry and Alice Doden.  He married Virginia May Eberhart on February 15, 1943, in Unionville, Missouri. Mr. Doden was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.  He worked as a grounds supervisor at the former Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, for many years. Survived by:  his wife; two daughters, Diane Cornwell of Waterloo and Terry Leonard of Elkader; and five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Services:  11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elkader, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo.  There will be no visitation.  Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader, is in charge of arrangements.
