Geneva Marie Parham, 89, of Waterloo, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Country View, Waterloo, of natural causes. She was born November 24, 1912, in Jerome, daughter of Francis William and Nevada Van Dorn Crooks. She married James Franklin Steen in 1932, in South Dakota, and he preceded her in death. She then married Walter Pritchett in Newton, in 1945, and he preceded her in death. She then married Charles Ross Parham on November 24, 1955, and he died in May 1991. She had been employed by the Black Hawk County Treasurer's Office in motor vehicle registrations, Alstadt and Langlas Baking Company, and later at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. Survived by: a son, Donald I. Pritchett of Evansdale; a daughter, Peggy Lee Burr of Colorado; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: a daughter, Verna Jean Long; two brothers, Cleo and Francis Crooks; and a sister, Pauline Middleton. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene, with burial in the Jerome Cemetery, Jerome. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Chapel of Memories, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
