Evelyn Knapp Evelyn B. Knapp, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born February 29, 1924, in rural Cedar Falls, daughter of Niels J. and Anna K. Jensen Mikkelsen. She married Clifford D. Knapp on July 22, 1945, in Cedar Falls. He died October 8, 1947. Mrs. Knapp worked at J. S. Latta and was employed for thirty-seven years at the University of Northern Iowa, retiring in 1989 as office coordinator of Career Planning and Placement Center. In retirement she volunteered at the Sartori Hospital Gift Shop and worked five years at Wendy's restaurant in Cedar Falls. Survived by: a son, Terry J. (Colleen) of Cedar Falls; two grandsons, Kyle C. Knapp of Westwood, California, and David W. Knapp of Cedar Falls; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: three brothers, Elmer, L. S., and Vernon Mikkelsen; and five sisters, Virginia Harrington, Erna Jacobson, Selma Johnson, Oda Knapp, and Helga Mikkelsen. Public visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Falls Women's Club House.
