Dwight G. Rider

Rider Hall men's dormitory was named for Dwight G. Rider, president of the State Board of Regents from 1951 through 1956. In 1919 he received a law degree from the University of Iowa, after attending Grinnell College. In the 1960s he was a District Court Judge in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, the American Legion, and the Elks Lodge. He was the former director and president of the Fort Dodge Chamber of Commerce.
