   Dale Stewart Dale Stewart, 72, of Parkersburg, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of lung cancer. He was born April 3, 1935, in Lafayette County, Wisconsin, son of Walter and Flora Haskin Stewart. He married Byrna Rae Wickers on December 29, 1961, at Hope Reformed Church in Parkersburg. Mr. Stewart attended high school in Watertown, Wisconsin, then served in the U.S. Army as a dental assistant, retiring in 1975 as Sgt 1st Class (E-7). He was stationed for two tours overseas in Germany, Korea, Viet Nam, Fort Sheridan, Illinois, and Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Viet Nam. After moving to Parkersburg, he went to work for the UNI Grounds Department in Cedar Falls, retiring in 1992. He and his wife established Stewart's Antiques, Parkersburg, in 1993. Survivors include: his wife; a son. Thomas of Aplington; a grandson, Nic Stewart; a brother; and two sisters. Preceded in death by: a son, Curtis, on May 3, 1986; his parents; a brother; and a sister. Private graveside services: this week at Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg. Full military rites will be conducted by Parkersburg American Legion Post 285. There will be no public visitation. Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home, Parkersburg, is in charge of arrangements.
