Claire N. Rule, 73, of 1147 Ravenwood Drive, Waterloo, died at home on Saturday, November 25, 1995, of cancer.
Claire began her career at UNI in 1968 as a Secretary in the Registrar's Office. She was a Secretary in the Graduate College when she retired in June 1985.
She was born on June 24, 1922, in Newcastle, Wyoming, daughter of Louis and Elizabeth Rhind Huggett. She married Jackson D. Rule on December 29, 1951, in Claremont, Minnesota, and later were divorced.
Survivors include a daughter, Candyce L. Klenzman of Denver, Colorado; a stepson, Jackson D., Jr. of Englewood, Colorado; a granddaughter; and a sister, Ruth Benedict of Waterloo. She was preceded in death by an infant son.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, November 28, at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with burial in the cemetery. Locke Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
