Betty Anderson, 73, of Waverly, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at home of pancreatic cancer. Survivors include her husband, James R.; two sons, Stephen James of Waverly and Timothy William of Tustin, California; a daughter; Sigrid Ellen Anderson of Des Moines; two grandchildren; her mother, Marvel Voss of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Bill Voss of Cedar Falls and David Voss of International Falls, Minnesota, and a sister, Mary Mommer of Dike. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Voss; and a sister, Joyce Kruse; services will be 10 A. M. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waverly, with burial in the church cemetery; friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. and with a 7 p.m. wake service; memorials may be directed to the family. Mrs. Anderson was assistant to the Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, for nineteen years and was past president of AMVETS Auxiliary.
