Avis F. Aldrich, 67, of 1809 Olive Street, Cedar Falls, died at home Sunday, August 11, 1996, of natural causes.
Avis began her career at UNI in 1970 as a Registrar's Assistant. She held the position of Clerk III in the Purchasing Department when she retired in June 1992.
She was born December 4, 1929, in Bemidji, Minnesota, daughter of Chris and Minnie Finberg. She married John F. Aldrich on July 9, 1949, in Bemidji, Minnesota.
Survivors include her husband, John; two daughters; Deborah Hodge of Rutherfordton, North Carolina and Leanne Sue Aldrich, of Phoenix, Arizona, and two sons; John F. Aldrich, Jr., and Stephen M. Aldrich, both of Cedar Falls. Survivors also include: seven grandchildren and one brother; Math Finberg of Columbia Falls, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter, Lauri Anne.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, August 14, 1996, at Nazareth Lutheran Church.
