July 11, 1975TO: University Faculty and Staff FROM: Janet L. Travis, Dean, CHFA Alma R. Stageberg, wife of Emeritus Professor of English Norman C. Stageberg, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 1975, at Sartori Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Stageberg was born on February 5, 1901, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She married Norman C. Stageberg on June 21, 1937. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1924 and then taught art in Minnesota before coming to Cedar Falls in 1946. She served as an instructor in the Department of Art at UNI in 1946-1947. Mrs. Stageberg is survived by her husband; three sisters, Marie Rosenberger of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Loretta Rosenberger of St. Cloud, and Mrs. Ruth Sumner of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and two brothers, Leo and John Rosenberger, both of St. Cloud, Minnesota. Alma Stageberg was cremated. Memorial services are pending at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls.
