Jennifer E. Watson, 62, of Waterloo, died Monday, November 23, 2009, at Covenant Medical Center, from complications of a fall. She was born October 14, 1947, in Waterloo, daughter of Francis R. and Velma Tegtmeier Hess. She married Charles Watson on December 27, 1968, at First Lutheran Church, Waterloo.
Mrs. Watson graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1965, and the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, in 1970, with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and in 1978 with a master's degree in history. She had been employed at Northwestern Bell Telephone, National Bank, and as UNI athletic finance administrator since 1990. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Evangelical Church.
Survived by: her husband; two sons, Josh and Nathan (Katharine), both of Waterloo; three grandchildren; three sisters, Pamela Kiefer of Waterloo, Jalane Terhune of Davenport, and Gretchen (Alan) Reagan of Bettendorf; and a brother, Randal Hess of Waterloo. Preceded in death by: a brother, Spencer Hess.
Memorial Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home.
