Catherine Ward Catherine M. "Kay" Ward, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cedar Falls. She was born September 15, 1924, in Wakefield, Massachusetts, daughter of Thomas and Florence Doucett Sullivan. She married Donald Louis Ward on June 5, 1943, in Wakefield. She was a supervisor at Santa Claus Industries in Waterloo from 1959-1970, and worked in housekeeping at the University of Northern Iowa from 1971-1973. Survived by: her husband; a son, Donald L. (Pam), Jr., of Florida; a daughter, Patricia (Richard, Sr.) Olsson of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: three brothers, "Dinty" Sullivan, Warren "Sully" Sullivan, and Robert "Bobby" Sullivan; and a sister, Doris Orkney. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
