Dr. Jean A. Trout, 88, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Ohio and Indiana, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls. She was born March 13, 1928, in Indianapolis, daughter of the Rev. Allen and Pearl (McNabb) Trout. She earned her bachelor of science degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio; master's degree from Ball State University; and Ed. D. from Indiana University.
She was a professor of educational psychology at the University of Northern Iowa for twenty-one years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.
Preceded in death by: her parents. Memorial services: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel, Cedar Falls. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton, Ohio. Richardson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
